Session 15 - The Heroes Return

19th Marpenoth, 1371 DR

Three Hills Adventuring Company Compound
Clear but cool day

After a good night’s rest the Heroes are fully healed and ready to begin their day. Jasper creates a very satisfying breakfast meal complete with smoked sausage, fried eggs, and a garlic potato based biscuit that he calls a wedge. Mojdeh is also on hand; she has taken up residence in the barracks across from the grumpy little dwarf. She serves the Heroes and has been in the kitchen helping Jasper with preparing the meal.

Obviously absent is Dolgun, who Jasper indicated can be found at the Emporium, where he has been the past day and all night drinking himself into oblivion based on the reward he received for the capture of ‘demon boy’. Jasper indicates that Dolgun has apparently used the reward to cancel all of Heins’s debt to Zalamandra and has been celebrating with her all night. Jasper indicates it is not pretty.

At breakfast it is clear that a number of things need to be addressed:

-The Heroes should travel up to the Garrison and meet with the leadership there to discuss the evil temple discovered below the Dourstone mine. Additionally, Dourstone was surely complicit in this matter and should be reported to the Garrison leaders.

-A meeting should be set up with Allusatn to further discuss the grim discoveries of the past few days, and the revelation of the existence of the Ebon Triad and their vile intentions. Allustan may be able to shed light on his research he conducted on the green worm the Heroes already provided him.

-Kamist, Alobron, and Carenthal have decided to trek up to the Twilight Monastery for their own personal development.

-Justice has expressed an interest in meeting with the Leader of the Church of Tyr at the Garrison, Valkus Dun. This will almsot certainly take place as Valkus is the top adviser to Capatin Trask.

-There are a number of items that still need to be sold. Jasper has already been busy in the evening and managed to sell off a number of mundane items returned from the mine (not including items that have already been handed out on cards) and added to the vault a sum of 275gp. Nonetheless there are a number of items that may need to be sold or retained for future use.

-Kamist has an item that he ordered from Taggin at the General Store that is due in any day now.

-Jasper has a note addressed to the Hero Trogdor from the orphanage of Diamond Lake:

Dear Hero Trogdor,

Mother Superior Sunwella says we are running short on food and will have to cut back on our daily bread. Me and the other children here have heard of you and your recent exploits. Please be our champion and sponsor us for just one or two more days so that we can work enough to buy some more food. Lately the donations have dried up and ever since Master Smenk has raised the rent we are paying, things have gotten really tough. My name is Milly and at 11, I am the oldest but some of the little kids are just 4 years old. Everyone is talking about you. Apparently, word is out that you and your Adventuring Company have bested some of Nejul’s best men. We are all rooting for you Trogdor. Please be our Champion and help us. We just need a little bit of food. Some of the boys have been watching you and the others at your fortress whooping, hollering, and laughing and best of all eating…we actually got some of the scraps from your food that the old guy who is your caretaker threw over the wall the other night. Trogdor you are our Hero. Also it would be really great if you could come visit us.
